Era-accurate cigarette pack props for film & theatre — pick a style, tune it, download a print-ready dieline; a picture from a model only if you bring a key. Fictional brands only.
Part of Chronotype. Free to use. Built by a set graphic designer · licence for paid productions · the research behind it
Era-correct health warnings, barcode and tax stamp are applied automatically from continent + decade. All brands fictional — prop use only.
Any geometry you enter is drawn as a true-scale dieline with bleed, crop marks and cut/fold guides — same print pipeline as the preset formats. Non-rectangular prisms use equal panels; assemble around a folded former.
Original period-styled artwork, not scans of real stamps — real fiscal stamps are government instruments and reproducing them is an offence. These read correctly on camera and carry no risk to a production.
What the era and market rules put on this pack and why, then anything on it that carries a date of its own — a descriptor, a filter, a web address. Every finding says why it is wrong, so you can decide to keep it.
Not checked, deliberately. Typefaces — every face here is a digital stand-in — and the brand name itself, which is invented and yours.
Adds a free image element to whichever face the Layout editor is on — drag, scale and rotate it like any other element.
AI generation uses the OpenAI key you paste on the Setup page (kept in memory only, never stored). Generated pictures are embedded in the SVG and PDF at full resolution. Keep every image original or licensed — never a scan of a real government warning or a real brand's artwork.
These are the pieces the studio composes with: change the year or the style and they are restyled along with everything else. To move the finished sheet by hand instead — and have it stay where you put it when the year changes underneath — use By hand on the rail.
Every one of the six faces is editable — pick a face above and place text, shapes, ornaments or images on it. Front, back, left and right print on the assembly dieline; top and bottom appear on the Six-face net layout (and the top also prints on the hard-pack lid panel). Drop an image file straight onto the canvas to place it. Double-click a text element to edit its wording.
The same piece, several ways, in one pass. Everything you are not varying is held still, so the “same” design really is the same design.
A scene that needs a period pack usually needs the newspaper on the table and the sign over the door too. If this can't reach what you're after — an exact regional variant, a hand-lettered 1920s label, the rest of the set's printed matter — it can be designed for you and delivered print-ready, anywhere.
